From looking at old photographs and album covers I thought that it would be interesting to create a concept of combining vintage and modern to create an what I envisioned to be an entropic digipak and advert. I believe this is a creative and original idea which I developed after talking to Tristan (you) about making the print work look old, by doing so I compliments mine and Beccy's music video which will also reflect vintage.
I have experimented with different layers which I found on google by simply typing in 'old photo layer', I chose these three as I believed that if I layered them in a creative way then I could create my own style of old photographs. By playing around with the composition and order of the layers I have created my own old photograph which looks delicate. I changed the opacity of each layer and erased the sections which covered Abi as I wanted to make her look modern but surrounded by this vintage look.
These are a few mock ups of how I want my cover and digipak to look like. I have added the layers to a photograph which I believe is great album cover as it follows the genre convention of how the artist as the main focus as this allows the audience to establish the genre it may be. I have left the colour tone sepia but I am not too keen on this as I believe it looks rather amature and also does not look effective. I have to keep in consideration that It should reflect the pop genre and do not think it does which would confuse the audience, to make it look more modern I shall desaturate the layers into black and white and select colours to create more of pop digipak.
I have create a brief ;layout of how I want my digipak to appear, for photograph I have not taken yet I have replaced with similar images off the Internet until I take mine. They shall remain the same but will be black and white. the three side panels shall include: a thank you message with a photoshoped collage of the artist, props from the music video and also a behind the scenes photograph. These give the audience an insight into Tiffany Queen which her fans will love as they will get to know the artist and also the props panel acts as an inside joke to her fans as they where and why they are presented in the digipak. The back cover will simply be a photograph of a crown or tiara as this reflects Tiffany's names which creates a brand image for the artist. Finally I love the idea of have the CD look like a vinyl as I think it finishes the digipak nicely as it pulls the whole concept together.
